Barbara Cummings often finds herself at the market picking out the freshest fruits and vegetables for the work teams this summer. Although she towers over the small Ecuadorian people, she makes friends wherever she goes with her heart of gold.

The Cathedral Heights team from Texarkana, AR were busy with many tasks, including their teen members. Here some of the team is busy painting the dining hall/meeting room on the seminary property that recently had roof damage. The scaffolding was quite a challenge!

The Cathedral Heights team also finished the parking lot on the seminary property that many other teams have worked on. All the teams did a wonderful job and the landscaping was a beautiful touch!

Missouri Team

A team consisting of people from the Jefferson City, Eldon and Macon, Missouri churches worked on the Sierra Centro District Center in Riobamba, Ecuador. They finished columns, laid block in the restrooms to prepare for stalls, and finished laying block to the level of the I-beams so that the second floor can now be poured. We appreciate their hard work!

One of the highlights for the Missouri team was to attend an indigenous church service. Both a women's choir and a men's choir performed during the service.

The team from Waldron, Arkansas, was busy with a variety of tasks. They began work on a retaining wall near the soccer field. After a long ditch was dug, they filled it with large rocks, gravel and concrete.

Part of the Waldron team finished working on the new parking lot. That meant getting more bricks, moving more bricks, laying more bricks and cutting more bricks to fit. They also poured concrete for the curbs.

The Leslie and Wilson Families

The mini W&W teams led by Al & Barbara Cummings have been a success! The Leslie and Wilson families made up the second team. These mini teams are giving many folks their first chance to experience a mission trip or experience a mission trip with their entire family. On their day off, they travel to Otovalo to shop, experience the local culture and see beautiful vistas like the one shown in the background of this picture.

One of the jobs of this team was to make beds which will go into rooms rented by our Conference Center. The operation of the Conference Center supports a large portion of the Seminary budget as well as provides jobs for our students.
